I suppose since my February Birchbox has now been sent, I should probably review my January one before February gets here! I was pretty excited about this month’s goodies. The box had mostly things I liked or loved, and even the ones I didn’t, I didn’t hate so that’s always nice!
The Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè moisturizer was pretty awesome! I loved the way it made my skin feel and it made putting on my makeup super smooth. The scent was okay– not too heavy, which is good since it was on my face!
I love love LOVE this Eyeko eyeliner! I’ve never even gotten remotely close to liking liquid eyeliner… I’m terrible at putting it on. But the pen style of this one makes it SUPER easy to apply and it looks amazing! I do wish it weren’t black, simply because I tend to use a brown of some sort because black ends up a little too defined for my taste, but otherwise, I’m totally buying this one!
This Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Styling Heat Protect Spray was okay. It didn’t make my hair greasy or crunchy like so many do, but the sample size wasn’t really big enough to tell whether it would work as a protectant. It smelled nice, too, which is always a bonus!
I thought the smell of the Oscar Blandi Pronto Wet Instant Volumizing shampoo and conditioner were great. Super clean and fresh-smelling. The only downside is the sample size… It wasn’t nearly enough to really tell whether it would work over time, but my hair was soft and fluffy after using it once!
I haven’t been a huge fan of the perfumes sent out by Birchbox, but this one (Nicole by Nicole Richie) wasn’t too bad. It still reminded me of my grandma a little, but it was sweeter and a little more summery. I loved that it mellowed out quickly so it didn’t overpower me all day like some perfumes do!
